Biography

Pierre Cardin was born on July 2, 1922, in Sanbiago DiCalla, a city near Venice, Italy, to a French family. Pierre Cardin is a Frenchman born in Italy. He soon became interested in fashion and eventually moved to a city in France to work as a tailor. There, with great interest, he began to acquire skills that later made him one of the most successful fashion designers and the most influential people in fashion.

Fashion Industry

He first worked for Dior as a maker but left Dior in 1950 and founded his own brand. After Cardin’s separation, Christian Dior not only sent him a congratulatory message, but also introduced his brand to his customers and contributed to his success. With the first collection of clothes he designed, he became a member of the Association of Modern Art Designers. His first women’s clothing boutique, the Eve, was a huge success. His designs were also considered by the international community. Cardin soon thought of expanding his brand abroad in France. He also opened his first men’s boutique in Paris called Adam.
